WHAT IS REBUILDING THE WALL?
Rebuilding the wall is a grass roots effort by the churches and Christian community of Mississippi to impact and make a difference in the everyday lives of people who are dealing with the issues of divorce, fatherlessness, foster care, drug and substance abuse and character, those things only God can remedy. It’s time to rise up and rebuid the wall and take our rightful place in leadership in our great state.
Our first meeting was held on Thursday August 9, 2012 in Jackson, MS at New Horizons Church. We had right at 200 Christian leaders from all over the state. From Tupelo to Gulfport and McComb to Laurel. There were ministers, business leaders, community leaders and government officals in attendance. All there for one purpose and desire to see our state get on the road to recovery. We will be place the videos from the different sessions over the next few weeks so make sure you come back by to check them out.
Our Goals
MARRIAGE:
50 Churches in every county agree to do significant counseling before marrying couples.
Foster care:
50 Churches in every county to get at least 5 couples to be foster parents = 20,000 foster parents
Fatherlessness:
50 Churches in every county (82) to get 5 people to go into the schools to be a mentor = 20,500 mentors
