Notes on a few strategic times:
Governmental Meeting: Even though our appointment was cancelled with the Knesset member, the Lord divinely put us with who we believe was the right contact–the Deputy Director of North American Affairs, U.S. Consulates Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. All of us knew as we sat at the table with this individual, that God had intervened and placed us with the right person. In fact a couple who live in Israel had dinner with us the first night at the hotel in Jerusalem. They said that we had actually “stepped up”. She said this was more likely to yield results verses a meeting with a Knesset member. Repeatedly we saw the Lord place us at the right place at the right time–it was amazing!
Divorcement of Baal: Many of you are familiar with the ‘divorcement of Baal’ that John Benefiel, Oklahoma City, OK, has written up concerning our separating ourselves from the Spirit of Baal in our nation. We felt that on top of MT Carmel, where Elijah dealt with the prophets of Baal was the place for us to declare our separation from the spirit of Baal in the US and to pray for our nation as well as the nation of Israel. Up on top of that windy mountain we agreed with Tom Schlueter as he read the divorcement paper (to obtain a copy of this document, email me), and then we took communion together to seal our decrees.
Commitment at the Menorah: The Menorah is the National Symbol of Israel. The nation of Great Britain gave a huge Menorah that stands in front of the governmental buildings. Our last day our guide brought along his daughter, Yael, and his grandson to be with us at some of the sites we were to see. We realized that the proclamations from our governors were not just for the government, but also to the people of Israel. We asked for Menache, his grand son, and daughter to stand with us as we read our proclamation to them personally, from our heart to theirs. This was a very touching moment, because we had grown to love this man who carried the heart of Israel. He left the Foreign Ministry to become a tour guide so that he could escort and teach others about this wonderful land, its people and the miracles of this nation. Yes, we were with the right people, at the right place, at the right time!
Again, thank you for your intercession–we could not have made it without the prayer cover! This was probably one of the most challenging trips we have ever been involved with–a great price to pay for great results. The logistics of getting 51 people to that many places on time, dealing with all the things that come up with a large group, and then the added spiritual dynamic because of the seriousness of our assignment–Wow! Thank God for multiplied grace and faithful intercessors.
