Billy Joe and Ruthie Young founded Repairers of the Breach Ministries in 2002. Their passion as a husband and wife ministry team is to bridge the gaps between generations, genders & races apostolically by building platforms for and raising up young leaders. They are focused on connecting apostolic leaders across Mississippi to see the Kingdom of God increase in every way possible.
About Billy Joe
“Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven” Matthew 6:10, is Billy Joe’s life verse. Two words describe Billy Joe: Father and Connector. He carries a father’s heart toward younger ministers, ministry couples and market place leaders, encouraging and coaching them toward visualizing and building the Kingdom of God. Looking for counsel, connection and relationship? He is available!
God is speaking to Billy Joe presently about our personal responsibility to stand for righteousness and justice.
As he sought the Lord after the Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage and in view of recent developments in our state and nation, Billy Joe heard a clear word from the Lord from Ephesians 6. “And having done all to stand, STAND FIRM.” He believes it is our responsibility to personally walk in Kingdom principles in our daily lives and make a firm STAND, regardless of whether in the pulpit, governmental office or market place.
About Ruthie
Ruthie devotes much of her time writing, mentoring and encouraging young women, building bridges through relationships in the body of Christ.
Ruthie takes delight in helping others find their true identity in Christ as his child and his bride. She has written two books with those values explicitly expressed: The Covenant Keeper and Your Destiny, His Glory!
In recent years Ruthie’s focus has turned toward women. Feeling that in this season God is calling His “Deborah’s” to arise and take their place alongside the men in the body of Christ not only as His bride, but also as his warriors, His Warrior Bride. She is a popular speaker at women’s retreats and conferences.
One of Ruthie’s greatest joys is teaching the workshop, “Your Destiny, His Glory, the how and why of your design.” The basis of this workshop is from Arthur Burk’s revelation of the 7 Redemptive gifts outlined in Romans 12. By understanding some of the ways our Father’s fingerprint is reflected in their lives through studying the ‘7’s” in the Bible, this workshop gives believers a greater understanding of their own distinctive purpose, destiny, and passion in His Kingdom.
She enjoys speaking on diverse topics, all within the realm of releasing the Kingdom within our daily lives, including:
- Women of the Bible
- Covenant
- Discovering our Jewish Roots
- Loving and Praying for land and cities
Ruthie and Billy Joe have been married 52 years, have three daughters who are married and one son. Her favorite thing to do is to go on great adventures in the woods behind her home with her 11 grandchildren.
